Go the Swans - Aussie Rules Match in Sydney

On the field during "Kick to Kick" after the Sydney Swans won

I was invited to an AFL Sydney Swans game at the SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground) on Saturday by Andrew - Yr. 4 teacher at St. Michael's. It was a great experience to take in a sports game here in Australia and by half-time - I'm pretty sure I knew most of the rules to explain what I was watching!

A beautiful stadium

We were sitting in the member's section in the "old" part of SCG. A historic place to watch from!

A beautiful sunset at half-time

There has been a lot of talk in the media about the booing of Adam Goodes and this home game was an incredible show of support for him - and the league - as we all showed our support and denouncing of any racism in the game.

We were versing the Adelaide Crows (it was never really close - the Swans came to play!) They won 117 - 65.

After the game, everyone could go onto the field with their footies and have a go during "Kick to Kick"
