With such a strong connection to the military and local troops, St. Michael's Catholic Primary School had a special Anzac service to commemorate the centenary of Anzac Day today - and treated its students to an up-close-and-personal encounter with a helicopter.
After a respectful service in the hall, we all walked to the back field to watch the helicopter land and give students a chance to have a walk around and see this amazing thing up close.
There was a "buzz" in the air - and the excitement grew...
Mr. Paton, St. Michael's Principal, prepared us for the "walk around"
Touchdown!
What an amazing way to commemorate 100 years of Anzac Day at such a proud school!
Lucky us, we got to experience it, too!
