Liam and Bryce shoot'n 'em up with Ned Kelly
Our 2 week trip through the south of Australia began with the long drive to Melbourne from where we live (about 10 hours). On our way, we made a stop at Glenrowan to check in on some of the Ned Kelly legend and where his "last stand" took place.
There were lots of posted signs and historical markers explaining how Ned and his gang (dressed in homemade suits of metal armour) took on the Victoria Police in Glenrowan on June 28th, 1880. All but Ned were killed. He was captured and taken to the Old Gaol ("jail") in Melbourne (where we also ended up visiting on this trip!) to be tried, convicted and hanged.
